Sibulane Safaris offers exceptional hunting experiences in South Africa’s top regions:

 

• Eastern Cape – Featuring lush coastal forests, sweeping sandy beaches, rolling grasslands, and rugged mountain ranges.

• Northern Cape – Vast and rugged, characterized by arid plains, dramatic desert scenery, rocky outcrops, and strikingly beautiful dunes, with pockets of green along its winding rivers.

2. How does lodging selection depend on the chosen hunt?

Lodging with Sibulane Safaris is tailored to your hunting package and personal preferences:

• Hunt Location – Accommodation is chosen based on proximity, ranging from luxury lodges to rustic camps.

• Group Size & Needs – Lodging can be customized for larger groups or specific amenities.

3. What is included in the daily rates?

Accommodation, meals, beverages, professional hunter, skinner/tracker, and transfers between the airport and lodge.

4. Are non-hunting activities available?

Yes. Cultural experiences, wildlife viewing, and spa days can be arranged for non-hunting guests.

5. What is the best time of year to book a hunt?

The best time for hunting is typically from April to November when it is cooler, but we do offer year-round hunting. In the summer months, we simply adjust our hunting style.

6. What are the licensing and permit requirements for hunters?

We arrange the hunting license prior to your arrival. If there are animals on your list that are on the CITES list, we need to know in advance in order to arrange CITES permits.

7. Is travel insurance recommended or required?

Travel insurance is recommended to cover any unforeseen events or emergencies during your safari.

8. What health precautions or vaccinations are advised before traveling?

No vaccines are required, but if the hunt takes place in an area with malaria, we will inform you prior to your trip and arrangements can be made.

9. Are gratuities included in the package, or are they expected separately?

Gratuities are not included and are appreciated at the client’s discretion for guides and staff.

10. Are firearms options available?

Yes, you can bring your own firearm for the hunt, and we’ll assist you with the required paperwork. If you prefer, you can also rent one of our firearms.

11. What is the recommended caliber?

We recommend any .30 caliber for medium to large-sized animals, as long as it’s a caliber and rifle you are comfortable with and that is reliable. For dangerous game such as buffalo, lion, or elephant, the smallest legal caliber is .375.
